Ruby Engineer

Skills in technologies:
o Web services are written in Ruby
o Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle)
o Microservice architectures
o Messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ)
o Instrumentation of apps or services for alerting and monitoring (New Relic)
o Software lifecycle tools such as Git, Concourse, and JIRA
• Having shipped robust, high-performance, scalable applications to production
• Five years of software engineering experience
• Owning changes to be made from definition to support in production
• Experienced in functional, unit, integration, and performance testing
• Experienced in troubleshooting errors in large, distributed systems in a 24/7 production
environment
• Experienced in consuming and creating Application Programming Interfaces (API)

• Experience in frameworks and languages used in other areas including Java,
Kotlin, or React
• An obsession with delivering outstanding customer experience
• Desire to learn new tools, frameworks, languages
• Experience with various software lifecycles tools such as Git and Jira
